DANBURY, CT (WFSB) -

A Connecticut woman claims she was harassed in a Danbury Walmart after being mistaken for transgender.

The woman goes by Aimee Toms on Facebook, and posted a video describing what reportedly happened. Her post has gone viral.

The 22-year-old said she was washing her hands in the women’s restroom inside Walmart on Friday when a woman shouted at her saying “You’re disgusting!” and “You don’t belong here!”

Toms said she believes it was her haircut and baseball hat that made the woman think Toms was transgender.

The video she posted on Facebook on Friday had been viewed more than 23,000 times as of Monday.

Warning: The video contains strong language that may be offensive to some.

On Thursday, the Obama administration will issue a decree directing schools to allow transgender students to use bathrooms that match the gender they identify with.
