State police are looking for a vehicle that engaged them in a pursuit down Interstate 84 westbound Tuesday night.
Troopers said they saw a "suspicious vehicle" exit a Burger King in Vernon just off of exit 67.
They said driver had committed a number of traffic violations.
They said they tried to stop the vehicle, which was described as a late model black Saab 9.3, in the area of exit 66 in Vernon.
However, the driver got on I-84 west and fled.
Troopers said they tried to use one of their Dodge Chargers to box in the driver, but the driver struck it. The collision caused minor damage.
The driver then tried to cross a center divider to get on the eastbound side of the highway. However, the vehicle became stuck on the steep median.
The Saab continued westbound instead.
Troopers said at exit 63 in Manchester, the decided to end the pursuit for public safety reasons.
No troopers were hurt.
State police said they are still looking for the vehicle.
They said it has moderate front-end damage and a broken passenger-side headlight.
The plate had Connecticut registration AC 56942.
If anyone sees the Saab, give state police a call.
