Police in Wolcott arrested a man accused in two bank robberies on Wednesday.
The first robbery happened at the Webster Bank on Wolcott Road just after 10:30 a.m.
The bank said it was offering a $500 reward for any information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
The suspect, identified as Dashon Russell, reportedly approached the teller, handed her a note and put a trash bag on the counter.
Police said the note stated that it was a bank robbery.
The teller put bait money into the bag and the suspect fled out of the front door, according to investigators.
Russell fled the bank with a little over $1,250 had dropped the money after the dye pack exploded.
Surveillance photos were released, helping police get the word out and identifying Russell as the suspect.
Russell was arrested just after 5 p.m. and was charged with second-degree robbery and larceny.

Russell is also accused in a bank robbery that happened in Waterbury a few hours after the robbery in Wolcott.
