PUTNAM, CT (WFSB) -

A Putnam woman was arrested after police said they seized more than 900 bags of heroin early Thursday morning.

Troopers were called a report of a woman passed out in her vehicle in the parking lot of Walmart in Putnam around 3 a.m.

Upon arrival, police discovered 27-year-old Melissa M. Wagner outside of her vehicle. Wagner told police that she had “a large amount of heroin” in her possession.

Troopers found 907 bags of heroin pre-packaged for sale, about 0.7grams of crack cocaine, 7 sub-lingual suboxone strips, 1 suboxone 8mg pill, used hypodermic needles as well as other drug paraphernalia.

Wagner was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of a controlled substance.

Wagner is being held on a $50,000 bond. She is expected to appear in Danielson Superior Court on Thursday.
