HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

The Yard Goats will play five more homes games in Norwich because their stadium is not ready for baseball.

The Dunkin' Donuts Park, which is the stadium for the Double-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, is not expected to be ready until the middle summer. The downtown park has laundry list of projects and construction that needs to be completed.

The Eastern League baseball was played at Dodd Stadium from 1995 to 2009. With delays in construction at Dunkin' Donuts Park, the Yard Goats played their first home games at Dodd Stadium during their inaugural season.

Because of the construction delays, the Yard Goats will continue to play games at Dodd Stadium.

On Thursday, the Yard Goats released the dates for the upcoming games at Dodd Stadium:

  • June 1 vs Trenton 4:05 p.m. (Double-header)
  • June 2 vs Trenton 1:05 p.m.
  • June 3 vs Portland  6:05 p.m.
  • June 5 vs Portland 4:05 p.m. (Double-header)
  • June 6 vs Portland 1:05 p.m.

The Yard Goats said any season holders will be allowed to attend all the games in Norwich with complementary tickets. People can also purchase tickets at Dodd Stadium box office.
