The Hazardville Fire District took the call of duty a little further on Friday morning.
In a Facebook post, they said crews received a call from a local farm just after 10 a.m. in need of some help.
The post said there was a failure of the farm’s well pump, and the cows had no water.
A truck went to the farm and fill all of the troughs with 1,500 gallons of water so the cows could be hydrated through the afternoon.
