A middle school teacher accused of bringing a gun to Newtown Middle School is expected to face a judge on Wednesday.
Jason Adams, 46, is due in Danbury Superior Court.
Adams was arrested on April 6, according to police.
Police said he had a valid pistol permit, but school policy forbids guns at schools.
He was detained by school security and placed on administrative leave.
Adams has been with the district for more than 10 years.
In Dec. 2012, 26 students and staff were killed in a mass shooting at Newtown's Sandy Hook Elementary School.
