A cement structure damaged the roof of the chapel at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford Springs on Wednesday morning.
A hospital spokeswoman said no one was around when the interior roof collapsed around 8:30 a.m. There were no reported injuries.
A cement structure on the roof fell through the roof, which damaged the roof and ceiling of the chapel. The structure is a part of a future elevator shift.
The chapel is closed during repairs and crews cordoned off the area.
The hospital is working with the town engineer to determine what happened on Wednesday.
