EAST LYME, CT (WFSB) -

An East Lyme police officer saved a fawn stuck in a fenced in area on Wednesday morning.

Officer William Langman spotted the fawn near Lillie B Haynes School. Police said while trying to escape, the fawn almost injured itself.

The fawn was safely relocated across the road to a wooded area.
