A man in Milford is accused of assaulting a woman, then attacking an officer.
Police said 26-year-old Christopher Wesolowski was arrested on Saturday.
Officers said they were called to a domestic violence incidence that started in a vehicle that was traveling on Rivercliff Drive.
The report stated that Wesolowski had a verbal argument with a female that turned into a physical altercation.
When the two left the vehicle, Wesolowski threw the woman to the ground, kicked her in the stomach, then drove off leaving her behind, according to police.
Wesolowski was later found by officers in the area of the Margaret Egan Center where he initially tried to flee on foot.
When they caught him, police said he struck an officer with kicks.
He was charged with third-degree assault, two counts of second-degree breach of peace, interfering with arrest and assault on a police officer.
His bond was set at $1,000 and he was given a court date of Tuesday, according to police.
