Two lanes of traffic are getting by on Interstate 91 northbound in Wallingford after a tractor trailer rollover.
The left lane remained closed as of 10:45 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The Department of Transportation said a tractor trailer overturned between exits 16 and 17 just before 7:30 a.m.
It said the backup stretched back roughly 3 miles.
The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection said it was called to the scene.
State police said diesel fuel spilled from damaged tanks.
The DOT and DEEP estimated the cleanup to block the left lane until sometime between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m.
Photos from the scene indicate that the truck was carrying tables and chairs.
No injuries were reported, according to state police.
