State officials started trapping mosquitoes in Connecticut on Tuesday and testing them for West Nile, Eastern Equine Encephalitis and Zika viruses.
The Connecticut Mosquito Management Program is coordinated by the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station.
The program also monitors the types, numbers and locations of mosquitoes.
The first week of test results will be made available by the week of June 6.
