HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

Hartford’s new baseball stadium continues to be a big problem, and some question whether it will open in time for this year’s season.

On Tuesday, the insurance company holding the bond met with city leaders and the developer on how to finish the project.

Wednesday, some good news was reported.

Hooker Brewery was supposed to be part of the original plan for the stadium and the downtown development.

That deal fell through, but Hooker said they will serve their beer at the ballpark.

The Bloomfield-based business makes about 75 different beers, and they have now come up with number 76. The beer sold at the park will be a pale ale, with a lower alcohol content.

The question on many minds is when the ballpark will open. It is millions of dollars over budget and the developer has missed two deadlines.

The developer said the stadium is 95 percent finished and there are many crews working, but no date has been set for the opening.

The Yard Goats and Hooker want to put a more positive spin on the ballpark.

Hooker said they are working with restaurants and bars near the park to have their beer served.
