HARWINTON, CT (WFSB) -

The family of a man injured in a serious construction accident asked for the public's help Saturday.

William "Billy" Madore, 47, of Harwinton, was seriously injured in a construction accident Thursday morning.

Hartford Police said a scaffolding Madore was working on at 31 Seymour St. collapsed and caused him to fall three stories.

Madore is an employee of Total Wall Systems, which is located in Bloomfield.

When EMS arrive to the scene, he was unconscious and rushed to Hartford Hospital where he underwent surgery.

Madore's daughter, Casey, set up a Go Fund Me page to raise $50,000 so that she can help support her father after he completes the next two of his three surgeries he must undergo as a result of the injury.

"He will not be able to work as a carpenter anymore due to his injuries. He may not be able to walk 100% normal again. All we ask is to help us help him be able to take care of his bills," said Madore.

The fall at the Bone and Joint Institute construction site is under investigation by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Police said they have completed their initial investigation.
