Firefighters in Westport said they responded to a serious crash on Interstate 95 northbound overnight.
It happened between exits 18 and 19 just before 2 a.m. on Monday.
Firefighters described it as a two-vehicle crash involving a SUV and a flatbed tow truck.
The SUV was heavily damaged.
Neither driver, however, needed extrication, according to rescue crews. They were treated for injuries, though it's unclear how serious they were.
All three travel lanes were closed while state police investigated how the crash happened.
The scene was cleared just after 3:15 a.m.
