A hit-and-run in East Lyme led to a drug bust, according to state police.
Argenis Torres, 29, faces a number of charges.
Troopers said it happened Thursday just before 8 a.m. on Interstate 95 southbound near exit 75. It involved two vehicles.
When they arrived, they found one of the vehicles and learned that the second had fled.
The vehicle was later found at the Tri-Town Foods Supermarket in East Lyme.
Troopers found Torres walking around the nearby True Value Hardware parking lot.
As they continued their investigation, they said they found more than a pound of marijuana and packaging materials.
Torres was arrested and transported to state police's headquarters in Montville.
He was charged with evading responsibility, failure to drive in proper lane, possession of marijuana and possession with Intent to sell.
Torres was due in New London Superior Court Friday.
His bond was set at $50,000.
