SOUTH WINDSOR, CT (WFSB) -

A man who pilfered nearly $100 in Red Bull and sold it for drugs was arrested by police.

Back in March, Louis Keroack, 53, of Manchester, loaded a carriage with the energy soft drink at the Buckland Hills Drive store in South Windsor.

Police said he pushed the cart out of the door without paying.

They said the total value of what he took was $96.

Investigators said Keroack took the drinks to a Hartford store where he sold them and used the money to buy drugs.

Officers said they later obtained an arrest warrant and served it on Thursday.

Keroack was charged with sixth-degree larceny and held on a $100 cash bond. He faced a judge the same day in Manchester.
