4 young people arrested after stolen Lexus pursuit that began in Bozrah

BOZRAH, CT (WFSB) -

Four juveniles were arrested following a police pursuit that began in Bozrah early Wednesday morning.

State police said they saw what turned out to be a stolen gray Lexus NX200 crossover traveling on Route 2 eastbound near exit 17.

Troopers said it was clocked by laser traveling at 86 mph in a 65 mph zone.

A trooper was able to catch up to the vehicle with lights and sirens blaring.

However, the drive of the Lexus didn't stop.

State police said it crashed on Fitchville Road.

The four young people inside were transported to the local state police barracks.

One was charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, interfering with an officer, possession of narcotics, larceny of a motor vehicle and sixth-degree larceny.

The other three were charged with interfering with an officer, larceny of a motor vehicle and sixth-degree larceny.

All four were released on a juvenile summons and assigned a court date of June 27 in Hartford.
