The State Department of Education is teaming up with several towns to put an end to hunger.
On Wednesday in Norwich, End Hunger Connecticut worked to raise awareness about free meals for children during the summer.
The program provides lunch, snacks, and dinner to many towns including Montville, Norwich, Groton and New London.
"Any kid, 18 and younger, can show up and they'll get a meal just like they would at school,” said Director of Child Nutrition Programs Shannon Yearwood. “No proof of ID, no income (information is needed), they just show up and hang out with their friends."
