Two people were arrested in connection with a stabbing that happened in Middletown on Tuesday.
Police arrested 22-year-old Anthony Chambers, of Hartford, and 19-year-old Lamell Swindell, of Middletown.
Police responded to Grand and Pearl streets on Tuesday afternoon for the report of people jumping out of a second story window of a home.
The victims said they heard a knock on their door and when they didn’t answer, the door was forced open.
Police said Swindell reportedly had a stun gun with a red laser light pointing at the victims, and when the victims saw it they jumped out the window.
Chambers reportedly followed a man outside and is accused of stabbing him in the abdomen.
The victim had walked into the Community Health Center on Main Street and then walked out, heading south on Main Street where he collapsed in front of Liberty Bank.
He was taken to the hospital and has since been released.
Police said more arrests may be forthcoming and that they don’t believe this was a random act.
Chambers was charged with first-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and home invasion.
Swindell was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon, conspiracy, first-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment and home invasion.
