Police arrested a man and woman in connection with an overnight robbery at the Dunkin' Donuts in Willimantic.
Willimantic resident Kiara Wilson entered the business, which is located on Main Street, around 3 a.m. Once inside, police said 26-year-old Wilson pointed a gun at a clerk and left with an undetermined amount of money.
Wilson then fled the store and rode off on a bicycle with 53-year-old, Willimantic resident Daniel Henderson.
Police said they searched the area and found Wilson and Henderson walking with a bike.
They ran from the officers, but police were able to track Henderson with a K9 unit. Police took Henderson into custody without incident.
A "facsimile firearm" was found by officers near the Dunkin' Donuts in an alleyway.
About 30 minutes later, Wilson was found hiding in a trash can. Police took Wilson into custody without incident.
Wilson was charged with first-degree robbery and breach of peace while Henderson was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and sixth-degree conspiracy to commit larceny.
Both are expected to be arraigned at Danielson Superior Court on Friday. Wilson is being held on $150,000 while Henderson is being held on $100,000 bond.
