The execution of a search warrant at a condo complex in Branford led to the arrest of a convicted felon on drug and firearms charges.
The investigation into Ryan Patton, 33, began several months ago, according to state police.
They said they received information that he had been selling heroin from the home on Florence Road.
The Statewide Urban Violence & Cooperative Crime Control Task Force executed the warrant on Wednesday.
Detectives said they seized 103 baggies that amounted to 25 grams of heroin, 21.3 grams of hard-packed/uncut heroin, drug paraphernalia and packaging materials, $835 in cash, a loaded .45 caliber Ruger semi-automatic pistol and ammunition, a .22 caliber pellet gun/rifle and a facsimile pistol.
State police said Patton is a convicted felon who is prohibited from having guns or ammunition.
They said he had 50 additional baggies of heroin on him.
Patton was charged with operating a drug factory, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of over 1 ounce of narcotics, criminal possession of a firearm, criminal possession of ammunition and illegal transfer of firearms.
He was given a court date of July 6 in New Haven Court.
Patton's bond was set at $100,000.
