School officials in Hartford announced that their district will not renew its school bus contract with a company where drivers held a walk out.
A month ago, more than 100 Dattco drivers held a one-day work stoppage.
School officials said it forced 3,400 students to miss school.
Hartford's Board of Education approved a 3-year $20.4 million contract with rival company specialty transportation.
It said Specialty already transports about 1,500 Hartford students who have special needs.
The district said Dattco's contract bid was nearly $2 million more.
