HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

With the delays at the Hartford stadium, the Yard Goats has laid off four employees from the team’s front office.

In a statement, the team's General Manager Tim Restall said "While it is our policy not to publicly discuss personnel matters, the delays in ballpark construction have forced the team to make difficult decisions.”

Earlier this month, Hartford officially cut ties with DoNo LLC and Centerplan, which had been responsible for future home of the Hartford Yard Goats.

As a result of the stadium not being completed, the Yard Goats team has had to play a number of "home" games at Dodd Stadium in Norwich and in New York to give players a rest from strenuous road travel.
