North Haven police are allowing anonymous drug drop-offs following numerous overdoses in the area.
Officials said Friday the drop-off service will run from Friday night to Monday at 9 a.m.
The drugs should be put in a zip-lock or brown paper bag and placed in the med-return box in the lobby of police headquarters.
Police ask that users do not put needles in the box.
They said anyone who comes by the station will be allowed to drop off the drugs no questions asked.
The service comes after 20 people overdosed on heroin from a tainted substance from New Haven that users believed to be cocaine.
Three people died from as a result of the overdose.
