Naugatuck teen missing after leaving home to flee punishment

NAUGATUCK, CT (WFSB) -

A teen from Naugatuck was reported missing after police said she became upset from a punishment.

Amanda Stevens, 15, was last seen around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Police described her as standing 5'8" tall, weighing 220 pounds and having black hair and brown eyes.

She was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, gray hat, blue jeans and "mint green" sneakers.

Police also said Amanda is known to frequent the Central Avenue school area with friends.
