A man remains in critical condition while a woman has been released from the hospital following a weekend shooting in West Hartford.
Police said the man was wounded on the right side of his head after the shooting at a home on Jackson Avenue Saturday morning.
They said the woman sustained a single gunshot wound to her left outer forearm.
The shooting happened while four children were home. They were not hurt.
Investigators said they classified the incident as domestic violence. They said there was no threat to the community.
The names of the the wounded individuals were not released because of the classification.
The investigation into the nature of the incident continues.
Police said the man and woman are the biological parents to the children. The children were said to be with family.
