Isolated storms are possible Wednesday afternoon

Posted: Updated:

As a cold front moves through the state, an isolated shower could pop up on Wednesday afternoon.

"Showers will end [Wednesday] morning," Haney said. "However, the humidity is really cracking out there."

Some showers popped up on Wednesday afternoon in part of the state.

While many didn't get rain overnight, some towns received pure liquid gold, like Dean in Union who got 1.27 inches of rain.

Temperatures for the rest of the day should rise into the low-80s. The humidity will come down.

"It should be a pretty good afternoon," Haney said. "We just have to get there."

Haney called the precipitation much-needed rainfall.

Thursday will be dry with sunshine and lower humidity.

"But by Friday afternoon, a front will move in and will be the catalyst for isolated to scattered showers to end the work week," Haney said.
