HAMDEN, CT (WFSB) -

A fight between a couple at a restaurant in Hamden continued even after their arrest, according to police.

Police said Ralph and Valerie Dondi were at Mickey's Restaurant on Whitney Avenue the night of June 29.

Officers were called after a report that the couple was acting out of control around 10:30 p.m.

Police asked the Dondis to leave the premises.

At that point, however, 66-year-old Ralph Dondi Jr. of Hamden shoved and threatened an officer, police said.

Later, Ralph Dondi again aggressively approached an officer and pushed him, according to investigators.

Ralph Dondi was arrested and brought to police headquarters.

Valeria Dondi, 62, of Bradenton, FL, grabbed an officer and attempted to help her husband. She also was arrested, police said.

While at headquarters, police said Valerie Dondi kicked another officer. They said she also tried to attack her husband in a cell block area.

Meanwhile, police said Ralph Dondi struck a fourth officer in the chest.

Police took three hours to process the couple due to their uncooperative nature.

The couple was charged with breach of peace and interfering with an officer. They are scheduled to face a judge in Meriden on July 14.
