A man accused of attacking an elderly man in a home in West Hartford has been linked to another break-in.
Police said Tony Villegas is accused of breaking into a home on Neipsic Road in Glastonbury in March.
Villegas reportedly stole over $50,000 worth of jewelry and other valuables.
He was arrested a few weeks later for a similar burglary in West Hartford, during which he assaulted and seriously injured a 79-year-old homeowner who confronted him.
Villegas has been behind bars since his arrest by West Hartford police.
