Route 9 north in Middletown reopens after multi-car crash - WFSB 3 Connecticut

Crash caused big delays on Route 9 in Middletown. (CT DOT)A multi-vehicle crash closed part of Route 9 north in Middletown during the evening commute.
Police said the road was closed near exit 12.
ROUTE 9 NORTHBOUND SHUT DOWN NEAR EXIT 12 DUE TO MULTI-CAR COLLISION WITH INJURIES. -

Injuries have been reported, however it is unclear how severe they are.
Route 9 reopened around 6:15 p.m.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
