A water main break disrupted the morning commute in Hartford Thursday morning.
According to officials with the Metropolitan District Commission, the break occurred overnight in the area of 351 New Park Ave. in Hartford.
Officials said the main is an 8 inch pipe that was installed in 1903.
It was shut down around 2 a.m. and repairs were expected to take between 4 and 6 hours to complete; around 9:30 a.m. however, the MDC extended that time to between noon and 1 p.m.
The MDC said the extension was because crews had to replace the main instead of repair it.
As of 12:45 p.m., those repairs were completed.
Road restoration is expected to be completed sometime before 4 p.m.
No customers are affected by the break.
