Quinnipiac and Eastern Connecticut State universities have been voted one of the top universities in the country to work for, according to recent study.
The Chronicle of Higher Education released its Great Colleges to Work For Survey on July 18.
The results are based on a survey of 281 colleges and universities. QU and ECSU were two of 93 universities to achieve the "Great College to Work For" recognition.
“The Chronicle of Higher Education's recognition of Quinnipiac University again this year is clearly a reflection of the outstanding leadership, dedication and talent of our faculty and staff who create an extraordinary educational experience for our students and a workforce environment built upon our strong sense of community. We value our employees and are pleased that they recognize the unique nature of working in an environment where each of them is a vital member of the Quinnipiac team,” QU President John L. Lahey said in a statement on Monday.
The award was given for factors such as work and life balance, teaching environment, and compensation.
“Nine years in, The Chronicle’s Great Colleges to Work For program is well known as a mark of a college or university that puts thought and effort into serving the needs of its faculty and staff. The colleges and universities that make the list are highly rated by their employees for creating great working environments, an important achievement that helps them recruit top academic and administrative talent," Liz McMillen, editor of The Chronicle, said in a statement on Monday.
