A Bloomfield man was arrested after police said he was driving while intoxicated and traveling in the wrong direction on Interstate 91 in Enfield on Sunday morning.
State police responded to reports of a car traveling south and in the left lane on the northbound side of I-91 around 3:30 a.m.
Upon arrival, police discovered the driver was drunk, and subsequently failed a sobriety test.
Police arrested 45-year-old, Bloomfield resident, Earl Davis for reckless driving, operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and driving in the wrong direction on a divided highway.
Davis was released on a $1,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Enfield Superior Court on August 9.
