Emergency responders were seen conducting an investigation at a West Hartford home on Wednesday.

The home is located on Trout Brook Terrace.

The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection said crews were called to remove potentially hazardous materials found inside.

On Tuesday, a neighbor called officials after an unusual smell was coming from the basement of the home.

DEEP was called to safely remove the chemicals from the home.

Police said at this time no arrests will be made, but police are looking into any potentially criminal matters.

The road is closed at this time but it is not impacting any traffic.
