Emergency officials said a New Haven building was evacuated following a chemical spill on Thursday.
They Department of Environmental Protection responded to the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station in New Haven for a clean acid spill.
The clean acid spilled from a broken container in a basement storage area, officials said.
DEEP cleared the scene and the remains from the incident were being properly disposed of.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
"The building was evacuated until the cleanup was completed and air quality tests indicated it was safe to reoccupy the facility. The immediate area where the spill occurred is still closed off until the air has an opportunity to vent more," a press release said.
