Yard Goats sponsors said they will continue to support the team despite a legal battle over their new stadium.
The developer of Dunkin' Donuts Park, Centerplan has filed a lawsuit against the owner of the baseball team.
Centerplan said Yard Goats owner Josh Solomon insisted on changes to the design of the minor league stadium, which led to two missed construction deadlines.
The suit alleged Solomon knew that the changes would jeopardize finishing the stadium.
"We got involved because we are excited about what is happening in Hartford. We look forward to a resolution that will bring baseball to Hartford," said The Hartford in a statement.
Dunkin Donuts, the biggest sponsor for the stadium, also voiced their support.
"While we share in the frustration of a season without Hartford baseball, Dunkin' Donuts is proud to support the Hartford Yard Goats, and we continue to look forward to future seasons at Dunkin' Donuts Park," said a spokesperson for the company.
Centerplan has also filed a lawsuit to prevent a different contractor from completing the park.
The team may leave Hartford if the ballpark is not completed by the 2017 season.
