State police release names of victims in Bridgewater home invasion

State police have identified the victims of a home invasion and shooting in Bridgewater that happened on Thursday.

Victor P. Compe, 64, was shot in the upper body, but the wound was non-life-threatening, according to state police.

His wife, 63-year-old Samantha Moore was present but not hurt.

Troopers said the home invasion happened early Thursday morning on Main Street South.

Over the course of their investigation, they said they recovered a stolen motor vehicle on Main Street South.

They said they also recovered two more on North Main Street in Waterbury.

Detectives said they've been working to figure out if there is a connection between the stolen vehicles and the incident in Bridgewater.

All of the vehicles were towed and are being treated as evidence.

The vehicles included a black BMW stolen out of Middletown, NY, a Ford Econoline Van from Bridgewater and a green Subaru Forrester from Millerton, NY.

Troopers said they continue to investigate and search whoever was responsible.
