WalletHub has released its findings after conducting a study on the worst and best states to have a baby in.
Connecticut came in at number 3, with Maine and Vermont ranking numbers two and one, respectively.
“According to the International Federation of Health Plans, Americans already pay the highest birthing costs in the world, with the price tag of conventional delivery averaging $10,002,” WalletHub wrote.
The study compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia to give parents “an idea of delivery costs, health-care accessibility and baby friendliness of each state.”
According to the findings, Connecticut was listed as one of the states with the "most pediatricians and family doctors per capita."
Connecticut also ranked on the list of "highest average annual infant-care costs."
