Monday was the deadline to register to vote in state primaries

HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

Monday was the last day people could register to vote in the state primaries.

The deadline for new of unaffiliated voters to register with a party in person was at noon on Monday.

Ten out of the 12 races involve incumbents from both parties.

Only registered republicans and democrats can vote.

Polls will open on Tuesday from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m.

If you encounter any problems or have any questions about voting, you can call the primary day hotline at 1-866-733-2463, or email elections@ct.gov.

Concerns may be reported anonymously, however, callers are asked to identify the town and polling place where problems occurred.

Voters can click here to confirm that they are registered to vote, locate their polling places and check what type of identification to bring with them to the polls.
