VERNON, CT (WFSB) -

A former University of Connecticut student whose drunken rant about macaroni and cheese went viral doesn't have to serve his special probation.

Luke Gatti pleaded guilty on Monday to a misdemeanor charge and paid a $100 fine, according to court officials.

As a result, a Connecticut Superior Court judge removed Gatti's accelerated rehabilitation.

Completing the program would have resulted in the dismissal of the charges. However, he was arrested in Florida back in May and charged with attacking a police officer.

Gatti made headlines last October after be yelled at and insulted a UConn cafeteria employee who sought to throw him out of the facility. The manager said Gatti had an open container of alcohol, which is prohibited.

The confrontation was caught on camera by an eyewitness and uploaded to YouTube.
