A staff shortage has forced the closure of the Rocky Hill-Glastonbury ferry on Mondays in August.
The Department of Transportation said the closure is for Aug. 15, 22 and 29.
The DOT said there will be a full schedule during the week of Labor Day. After that, staffing requirements will be re-evaluated.
This ferry, along with the Chester-Hadlyme ferry, normally operates every day between April 1 and Nov. 30 each year, except on Thanksgiving.
The ferries cross the Connecticut River.
