A crash involving a box truck on Interstate 91 in Cromwell is causing traffic congestion on Tuesday afternoon.
A box truck spilled out 70 gallons of diesel during a crash on the northbound side of I-91 around 11 a.m. The spill has caused a more than five-mile backup, according to the Department of Transportation.
State police did not know how it will take to clear the fuel spill.
There was no word on injuries, police said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
