UNION, CT (WFSB) -

Three people were charged in connection with an armed robbery at an I-84 rest stop in Union.

Police arrested Karanda Clemons, of Roxbury, Mass., and Benjamin Cooper and Walter Kirksey, both of Alabama.

The three are accused of allegedly holding up a man and pepper spraying him before fleeing with money and personal items.

Massachusetts troopers found the vehicle in question out of gas, and moments later, the suspects were found.

All three are facing numerous charges, including larceny, robbery and assault.

The victim was not seriously hurt.
