OXFORD, CT (WFSB) -

Connecticut State Police have identified the Ridgefield man killed after an overnight crash in Oxford on Monday.

A Toyota Highland was traveling southbound on Route 67, 10 Oxford Rd., near the Seymour town line around 12:30 a.m. State police said the driver, who was later identified as 22-year-old Noah Benjamin Lubilz, went off the road.

Police said he came to "an uncontrolled" stop in a nearby culvert in front of 1 Oxford Rd.

Lubilz was rushed to Waterbury Hospital where police said he died a short time later.

Troopers said accident reconstruction teams were dispatched and worked through the night. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

State police said they began clearing the scene around 5 a.m. The road, which was closed, reopened just before 6 a.m.
