ROCKY HILL, CT (WFSB) -

A storm could bring heavy downpours and gusty winds to parts of Connecticut on Tuesday.

Ahead of the storm, Eyewitness News declared an Early Warning Weather Day.

WFSB meteorologist Mike Cameron said there are still some questions in the forecast.

"The track is still uncertain," Cameron said.

The storm system is expected to bring with it a couple of chances for thunderstorms.

There is a chance for a few scattered showers with a chance of a thunderstorm during the morning hours.

However, there is a greater chance of storms during the afternoon hours. A front is expected to hit the state after 3 p.m.

Cameron said there are no concerns of flooding. Besides downpours, the storm could bring gusty winds.

The temperatures are expected to be in the 80s.
