An elderly man is in critical condition after police said he was found "unresponsive" at the bottom of a pool on Monday afternoon.
Officers were called to a home on Meadowbrook Road around 4:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officers removed the unidentified man from the pool, which was abut six feet deep.
When the man was pulled from the pool, police said he "was not breathing and had no pulse."
After CPR was performed on him, the victim was rushed to Norwalk Hospital where police said he remained in critical condition on Tuesday morning.
Police said it is "unknown how long the victim was submerged" in the pool.
