A mother in East Haven accused of poisoning her two young children is scheduled to make a court appearance.
Court officials said 36-year-old Leroya Moore is due in New Haven Court to face a judge on Monday.
They said she pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder and reckless endangerment.
Police said she killed her 5-year-old daughter Aleisha and 7-year-old son Daaron in their home in June 2015.
The medical examiner ruled that the children were poisoned from an acute intoxication of diphenhydramine, which is an Antihistamine found in medications like Benadryl.
Police said she reportedly left a note behind that said the children would be better off in heaven.
Moore faces life in prison.
