Several ESPN buildings briefly evacuated due to gas leak

BRISTOL, CT (WFSB) -

Several buildings on ESPN's Bristol campus were evacuated due to a gas leak.

Eversource confirmed the leak. It said a third-party construction crew hit a line on Monday morning. It happened around 9 a.m.

The leak was said to be contained.

Police said firefighters were called to the campus as well.

The campus is located off of Route 229, also known as Middle Street.

There were no reports of injuries.
