Mosquitoes trapped in Fairfield have tested positive for West Nile Virus.
Officials in Fairfield said this is the first positive mosquito identified in Fairfield this year.
No Connecticut residents have been identified with illnesses related to West Nile Virus infections this year.
Just last week, mosquitoes in Newington tested positive for West Nile Virus.
Positive mosquitoes have also been found in Bridgeport, Darien, Hartford, Stamford, Stratford, and West Hartford.
If you do get bitten by an infected mosquito, most people don't experience any symptoms but you might get slight fever, rash and headache, body aches.
